Overview:

The primary duty of this position will be to professionally and positively represent AA Security and promote the sales of residential/ small business security alarm systems. The prospective candidate will be responsible for the entire sales process of generating and following up on sales leads, meeting with potential clients and conducting a needs assessment, quoting/bidding residential security systems to meet those needs, negotiating terms, closing sales opportunities, and ensuring profitable growth of the company in an enthusiastic and timely manner

 

Primary Functions:

  1. Sell and promote AAS residential/small business security systems to potential clients

  2. Generate leads through many different avenues including via company website, referral, and cold calling

  3. Follow-up on leads and set appointments with potential clients

  4. Meet with potential clients and conduct needs assessment

  5. Present  security systems to clients in a professional and educational way.

  6. Develop & maintain an active proposal log that will support achieving the designated sales plan

  7. Establish and maintain lasting contacts/relationships with customer

  8. Prepare, follow-up and close client proposals

  9. Respond to customer needs in an enthusiastic and timely manner

  10. Customer service, communication, and education

  11. Assume account management responsibilities including the provision and/or coordination of services (installation, customer training, etc.) to assure complete customer satisfaction

  12. Investigate and resolve customer issues in regard to delivery dates, billings, financing and other related matters

  13. Work with Operations to ensure the timely completion of each job sold

  14. Must be flexible to work at trade shows, evenings, and/or weekends

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years working experience with a successful history of building sales and client business & relations.

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED, with 5 years working experience OR

  • Associate degree from an accredited college with 2 years working experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business preferred but not required

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend acceptable business English.

  • Must be self-motivated with dedicated client services focus and strong desire to succeed

  • Must be able to read diagrams, blueprints, and specifications

  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Outlook, and the internet to obtain answers to industry related questions

  • Experience in the bidding/negotiating process preferred

  • Effective listening, questioning, and verbal/written communication skills

  • Understanding of residential and small business security systems is preferred
